QUARTERBACK
Quarter-back
…
Eng. - Contrary to what a lot of people wonders, "quarterback" isn’t synonymous of full back. He performs a fundamental role in the construction of his team’s attack shots. So his purpose is similar to the basket point guard or of the setter in Volleyball. Consequently the verb "to quarterback" #9; means to command, to manage, to control, etc. It is in this sense that the metaphor is employed in the business world.
…

It's a fuck-up? Que tal?
"My computer's broken again. What a fuck-up."
Or, to preserve the sense of annoying, in my neck of the woods, just "it's a fucker".
As in: "I hate putting together IKEA furniture, it's a right fucker (really difficult) to do."
"I hate my boss, he's a right fucker (annoying person)"
Can't be sure that this would make sense in America though

CORRECTOR - Copy writer/copy writing
Hi all,
I am trying to figure out what copy writer and copy writing may be in French. Am leaning towards revisure, but it doesn't seem quite right. A clue, anyone?
Thanks!
The equivalent is rédacteur/ rédactrice. Réviseur is proof-reader, quite a different task.
Copy writer - Copywriters can work for themselves as independentcontractors , freelancing for a variety of clients
Copywriting - Copywriting is the process of writing the words that promote a person, business, opinion, or idea.
Thanks! That was very helpful. I actually needed to know what proofreading is as Originally Posted by prnilla

Either réviseur, -seuse or also correcteur, -trice d'épreuves.
So, on a related topic, is there a way to differentiate between a COPYEDITOR and a PROOFREADER in French?
In English (US at least) a copyeditor corrects grammar and style issues, often rewriting copy -- whereas a proofreader usually corrects things like typos, misspellings, inconsistencies and the like, with less emphasis on structural changes or rewriting. Does that difference exist in French? Perhaps, "correcteur" vs. "réviseur"?
Quelqu'un pourrait m'éclairer?
well
In France, réviseurs or correcteurs can do both what copy editors and proofreaders do. Traditionally, correcteurs worked for printers but nowdays they can work for lots of different companies.

CREED - The Apostles’ Creed - The basic creed of Reformed churches, as most familiarly known, is called the Apostles’ Creed. It has received this title because of its great antiquity; it dates from very early times in the Church, a half century or so from the last writings of the New Testament.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell. [See Calvin]
The third day He arose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen.
*The word "catholic" refers not to the Roman Catholic Church, but to the universal church of the Lord Jesus Christ

…
